Situated in a scenic valley of lush green hills just 20km from Whangarei or 10km to Matapouri. With spectacular beaches and coastal walks nearby there is always something to do. There are Sheep, tadpoles and frogs, dragonflies and butterflies, miniature horses: Sandy Bay Retreat offers a unique New Zealand camping experience. There is a strip of beautiful native bush which children love to play in, fresh drinking water and stream, BBQ and BBQ tables and two outside toilets. A small bridge over the stream into the bush is where you will find an open air hot water bush bath with outside shower. The water slide and pond are great entertainment making it run for the adults and children. In season herbs from the veggie garden.
